Espresso Rings
Today the three of us were actually in the office at the same time, and today...our office rings arrived! Yes, thanks to Fannie us three office girls now have office rings. And we love them so much! We drink tea, coffee and espressos all day. And now we can rock these rings from Smiling Silversmith everyday.
Thank you Fannie! You spoil us...Wednesday, February 08, 2012

My cousin Sara is visiting us from Switzerland. She's my mom's, cousin's daughter. We love having visitors and so happy she could stay in our home for 2 days. We explored Toronto on Wednesday and Thursday. I truly loved touring the city I live in.

Bundle of...Amazing
Today I was a part of the most incredible thing I have ever seen in my life.
My friend Karen invited me to journey along with her during her pregnancy the past few months. We kept in touch and talked back and forth about it and I was able to attend one of her midwife appointments (so sad my schedule didn't allow for more!) I felt so honoured to be a part of it. She's so calm, cool and collected and it was incredible to be a part of this pregnancy of her third child.
All of this lead to today, Tuesday January 24, 2012. Her little bundle was brought into this world...right in front of my eyes.
I don't even know how to explain it. It happened. It was absolutely incredible, amazing, a true miracle. I feel like that's what everyone says - but it truly is. She did it all natural, in her home, and my goodness, she's my hero. Never have I seen someone so strong and calm and cool. Her labour was only 2.5 hours long this time, and I just made it for the birth with 5 minutes to spare!
I know every single experience is different, every child is different and every mom is different. I'm just glad I got to be a part of this one. It would be amazing if my (hopefully) future experience is anything like this, I'm sure it will be completely different. But like Karen said, if she was able to show me that pregnancy and birth can be a beautiful experience, then her job is done. Well Karen, you did your job. I am still completely awed at how "normal", natural, beautiful and real every moment was today with the 3 hours I spent at their home.
I still feel so honoured to have been a part of it. So thank you for letting me in on this incredible day. I'll never forget it. This Dragon baby will be extra special to me.

Ting!
During the day we got together with the Fam to celebrate Joey's 5th Birthday. Happy Birthday little guy! He's growing up to be a real sweetheart and a funny kid. All the pics are on my Mom's camera, I wish I had one of his all-blue outfit today! Maple Leaf T shirt, blue pants and a Marlie's toque. Adorable.
We then headed to the Ting's after for a get together dinner and a surprise birthday thing for Warren. We ended with a game of N-Tropy. Always a great game! As expected, it was really fun to play wish Asians. They do the best "ohhhhhhhhh!" sound and most often. I love it.
A great Saturday all in all. I love the weekends. Because Keith and I get to hang out 24-7. Love it. And we always get to see friends and family on the weekend. Love it.
